    I've used the Vortex Talon binoculars for a few months now and I'm very impressed with the image quality. The build quality is also fantastic. They are a little long but overall they feel small because they're not that heavy. Overall much smaller than most binoculars.

    I really wanted to love these. It is a shame that the construction is so poor, because the view is amazing. Nice wide field of view. Bright Images. Poor construction.
    I am not saying these are not durable. I could not say that, but I can say that they are just downright uncomfortable to use. The hinges are soft and too easy to adjust. You want hinges that stay put? These are not for you. The focus knob is tough to move and has an abrasive feel to it. They don't come close to comparing to the nice rubberized feel and smooth rotation of Minox brand. Ultimately I ended up going with the Minox BL8x42. The optics may be a bit of a downgrade, but minox has rock solid construction and optics that are as good as anything else in the sub $400 price range.
