    I've been thrilled with these binoculars. Really glad I got the Pentax. The images are so crisp, so clear, so bright. They are a great size for both birding and stargazing. They gather enough light to enjoy the stars, and they focus in very close up for birding and butterflies. The perfect size imo, light weight too. No problems holding it still, hardly any shaking with these for me.

    Very well made, great coatings, precise focusing, you name it. The right diopter works well, nice indents to really get it where you want it. The eye relief is fine, the twist out eyecups work well, just a really well made pair. They're the best pair I've ever used, next to my father's 7x50 Adlerblicks.

    The strap is usable, the case is well made. The quality of these binoculars is truly outstanding. Highly recommended.

      I got these binoculars to replace an older pair that had been dropped a few to many times by my kids. Since I've gotten these, I've really rediscoved just how important it is to have a really good pair of binoculars. We do a lot of hiking, birding and wild life viewing. These binoculars are perfect. They focus quickly, great for distance and up close viewing. I really like that they're waterproof - no more fogging (I didn't realize what a benifit that was going to be). I looked a lot of binoculars and it came down to the Pentax and the Nikons. Both were excellent but at the end of the day, Pentax had the better glass and was noticably lighter, and just a superior product.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
