Spectacular. When I told an astronomy friend that I was looking at the Ring Nebula in these, he didn't believe me, until he looked for himself -- whereupon he declared "these aren't binoculars, they're a telescope!" I've had mine for over a year, and have come to rely on them for everything, birding to astronomy. The crystal-clear image allows me to direct larger telescopes in finding targets, and they're toughness has allowed them to survive boy scouts launching them across a cabin to bounce off the floors (and allowed me to survive a near heart attack). You can resolve the "hairs" of the feathers on a bird at 100 yards, and tramp with confidence through marshes in the rain. If (heaven forbid) anything ever happened to these I'd replace them in a heartbeat.

I have a Swarovski spotting scope and was looking for some good glasses at a price a bit less than Swarovski was asking for their binoculars.



My only qualm about my 10 X 50s is their narrow field of vision. The glass is excellent and the detail I can observe into twilight is exceptional. The trade off for the narrow field or view, however, is a 11 ft near focus.



The depth of field is stunning at all distances. I was easily able to resolve an obvious disk, while observing Mars, and at sunset they had great color resolution on a red breasted sapsucker at about 200 yards.



As I have been using them I am no longer bothered with the narrow field of view. I spend too much time enjoying the crisp images.



I find them very comfortable to hold the balance feels good.



If I hadn't been looking for great optical quality I may have gone with a less expensive pair. I must admit that the quality of image comes close to my Swarovski glass and I am satisfied with their perfomance.
