Comments about Nikon ACULON A211 7x35 Binoculars:

I wanted some good quality binoculars with a wide field of view. These are perfect. The case and strap are good quality too. The optics are great with the BAK-4 prisms. The field of view is a huge 9.3 degrees. The image is sharp, clear and bright. I use these for spotting with my telescope. I can easily hold them steady with no shaking.

There are a few cons. First, these are not waterproof, fog proof or shockproof like the Nikon Action Extreme binoculars, but they cost less. Second, the eyepiece lens caps fall off all the time. I can live with that.

I debated whether to get these or the Aculon 8x42's. The 8x42's have higher magnification but a slightly narrower field of view. The Aculon 7x50's had a narrow 6.4 degree field of view, so I passed. The Aculon 10x50's looked good too, but higher magnification is harder to hold steady. These are all good quality binoculars, but I went with the 7x35's because I wanted the widest possible field of view.
