Description

Sharp, bright images and full contrast even in low light - these center-focus, roof-prism Leupold® 10x 50mm Mesa™ Binoculars in camouflage are completely waterproof and built tough. With shock-absorbing rubber armor for extra protection, long eye relief, and soft, twist-up eyecups, these binoculars are easy to use even with glasses. They offer classic binocular styling, as well as advanced optical features, such as high-performance lens coatings.

Porro prisms also do an exceptional job transmitting a 3-D image, and a lockable center-focus adjustment allows quick and accurate focusing. Multi-coating on the objective lens exterior gives sharper contrast in a variety of light conditions. Includes a case and neck strap. Limited lifetime warranty.

From humble immigrant beginnings, Leupold grew, based on a promise of quality, to become a classic American company. In 1907, Fred Leupold set up a one-man shop at 5th and Oak streets in Portland, Ore., to repair surveying equipment. He was joined by his brother-in-law, Adam Voelpel, and later by inventor John Cyprian Stevens, and the foundations for a century of success were in place.

During Leupold's second half-century, the company has focused heavily on the sports optics business. Leupold's presence in the hunting and shooting market expands, and finally dominates, with innovative optics and features that are now legendary among hunters, shooters, and outdoors enthusiasts. Many of the industry's standards - nitrogen waterproofing, the Duplex® reticle, and more - are Leupold creations.

Customer Q & A

Q1: how does this bino compares (in terms of brightness, sharpness, color correction and usefulness of FOV) to the Pentax pcf wpII and to the Celestron Ultima?

A: Optically it is extremely comparable to both, actually it is better than the Celestron Ultima. The FOV is quite a bit better 288 @ 1000yds vs. 261 with the Pentax and 262 with the Celestron.

Q2: What prisms do these binoculars have, and what is the difference between the BaK-4 and BaK-7 prism? Thanks...

A: Thw Wind River's have BAK-4 prisms. BAK 7's are inexpensiveand reflect a great deal of light (which can create a dark grey image around the inside edge of the exit pupil (called vignetting) BAK-4's are top quality and result in a more clear, bright, round, un-light reduced image
