Frequently Asked Questions

1 - 5 of 5

Q1: What is permafocus compared to binoculars without this feature?

A: Permafocus means that the binocular is preset for distance and you will not need (or be able) to adjust the focus. These are very good for spotrting events like car racing etc...

Q2: would these particular binoculars be suitable for looking at the stars?

A: If you want to look just at stars, just about any binocular will do. A star will appear as a pinpoint of light, even in the largest telescope! If you're interested in looking at the Moon or planets, though, you'll want something with more magnification. We'd recommend 10X at a minimum. More is better!

Q3: I have a pair of binoculars which I love and wish to purchase a second identical pair. The pair I have is several years old and is marked: Jason Perma Focus 2000 7X50 Do you have this exact item or something extremely close to it? Thank you. RM Lei

A: Jason is no longer made under its own name; Bushnell bought the company out. However, you can still get Permafocus binoculars. The Bushnell 7x50 Wide Angle, Permafocus binocular isn't the old Jason, but it's pretty close. Here's the URL; just paste it into your browser's address window: http://binoculars.com/products/bushnell-7x50-permafocus-focus-free-wide-angle-8084.html.

Q4: I received the Bushnell Perma Focus Binoculars For my Birthday. The instruction manual that came with them has nothing to do with Perma Focus. Please send me the correct instruction manual. 485 Fawn Trail, Titusville FL.

A: Hello Mr. Bursey, To obtain a manual you will need to contact Bushnell directly. There number is 1 800-423-3537 Thank you! Denny

Q5: What is the closest focus distance for the Bushnell 7 x 50 Permafocus? I'm concerned about blurred close ups.

A: The Bushnell Permafocus binoculars have a fixed focus point and cannot focus any closer or further away than the fixed point.  There is no real measurement for close focus on any auto/perma focus binoculars.

These state-of-the-art binoculars offer a wide, 372-foot field view that is uncommon in 7x magnification binoculars, allowing you to see more of your subject. The 50mm objective lens provides optimum light allowance, and the 7.1mm exit pupil provides brightness and clarity, even in low light. Quality optics are fully coated for bright, crisp images, and feature the Porro prism system and BK-7 prism glass. Ergonomic, rubber armoring provides durability and a slip-resistant grip, even for gloved hands. 20mm eye relief is ideal for comfortable viewing, even over long periods of time, and even for those with corrective lenses. A 1.5-pound field weight makes these binoculars comfortable to carry.

Ideal for spectator sports and wildlife observation, Bushnell 7x50mm PermaFocus binoculars offer the ultimate in value and convenience.

Note: Focus-Free binoculars are designed for viewing distant subjects.  The close-focus limit is subjective and dependent on the user's eyesight.
