Description

Don't miss the action while you're fumbling to focus! Bushnell 12x50 PermaFocus auto-focus binoculars feature focus-free operation for convenient viewing. Just aim, and your subject comes into clear view!

The 12x50 PermaFocus offers a wide, 265-foot field view - wider than that in most 12x binos - allowing you to see more of your subject. Quality optics are fully coated for bright, crisp images; and ergonomic, rubber armoring provides durability and a slip-resistant grip, even for gloved hands.

Ideal for spectator sports and wildlife observation, Bushnell 12x50 PermaFocus binoculars offer the ultimate in value and convenience.

Note: Focus-Free binoculars are designed for viewing distant subjects.  The close-focus limit is subjective and dependent on the user's eyesight.

I have purchased both the 10x50 and now these (12x50)! If you are looking for binos that you want to use for long distance viewing,(like looking at the moon, stars, airplanes, or watching eagles soar through the air)then these are the ones. These 12x50's bring a close up view for long distance viewing than the 10x50, but the 10x50 has a wider field of view. This is the only difference.
The permafocus lets you follow any moving creature or target, so there is no focusing on anything, just point and look! Bushnell makes Excellent products and this is just one of the many that's out there. People, You don't know what you are missing with these! Just buy them , You WILL NOT be dissappointed! A+

These binoculars have a nice feel in your hand and are lightweight. I have a bird feeder 50 feet from the house and these binoculars are not what you want to watch wildlife that close. Don't forget these binoculars do not have a focusing adjustment. These binoculars are always in focus but at long range. Other users have said don't buy these for viewing under 200 feet. Long range they are reasonably clear and in focus. However, I also purchased a pair of Zhumell 10X42 binoculars and there is no comparison. The Zhumell are far better in clarity, brightness and magnification. You are not going to find everything you want in a single pair of binoculars. Each pair has its strengths and its weaknesses.

Two of my neighbors have this product and have raved about it. That word of mouth advertising is the best kind. We look out on the Intracoastal Waterway and have lots of birds, dolpin, etc to enjoy!

The description says they absorb shock. I bought them to take on the boat. Dropped them once and the lenses got out of alignment and had to be returned for repair. When returned they were perfect. Dropped them a second time while in the case with the caps on but they got out of alignment again. Going to throw them in the garbage and switch to Nikon.

Comments about Bushnell 12x50mm PermaFocus Focus-Free Wide-Angle Binoculars:

I was disappointed that when the binoculars arrived (they were on back order) the lenses were misaligned. I started the return process but I had a few questions and eventually called the service number. The representative that I spoke with was very helpful. He made the return process very easy and I ordered another pair. I hope to be writing a better review in a few weeks.

          Customer Q & A

          1 - 5 of 6
              1   2

Q1: What type of lens covers do these binoculars have? Individual disks x 4?

A: Yes, this comes with four individual disks.

Q2: I am looking for binoculars that are automatic focus. Are these that kind? We met a fellow that had a pair that as you looked through them they automatically focused. We want to use them at Nascar races.

A: Yes these are that kind, they are preset for distance so you they are always in focus.

Q3: Can you look at the stars with Bushnell 12x50 PermaFocus Binoculars

A: Absolutely, although for an astronomical binocular we usually suggest a larger objective lens size as it will allow in more light giving you a better image.

Q4: I Would like a pair of focus free binoculars mostly for baseball and football games. I need a wider focus than the very compact binoculars allow as I would like to pick up one player but also have enough of a view to be able to see what is going on around them.

A: Since watching baseball and football games doesn't involve extremely long-range viewing, the best bet probably would be Bushnell's 7x35 PermaFocus Focus-Free Wide Angle binoculars. They offer a very wide field of view, plus enough magnification to give closeup views of individual players on the field. Here's the URL; just paste it into your browser's address window: http://binoculars.com/products/bushnell-7x35-permafocus-focus-free-wide-angle-8083.html.

Q5: What are the size of these binoculars?

A: Bushnell 12x50 Permafocus binoculars are 7.25x7.25 inches. They weigh 2 pounds.
