A proven, porro-prism design gives rugged dependability with contemporary styling. There's rubber armor to protect against shock while affording a firm grip - even for gloved hands.


Optics are first-rate, too. BAK-7 glass is used in the prisms, and lens elements are multi-coated for sharpness and brightness throughout the full field of view.

      I bought these binoculars primarily for star gazing and bird watching and for the occasional sporting event and scenery on road trips. I looked a quite a few pairs before buying these and I'm really glad I chose these. There are binoculars that weigh less, and I didn't want a heavy pair, but these are very comfortable. The lenses are powerful, sharp and clear. Makes star gazing a lot of fun. Also, focusing is really quick and easy. I'm very happy with my decision to purchase this product.

      I was generally disappointed with the image quality. Everything else is good: weight, feel, ease of use. But the bluish-tint of the image on the edges suggest poor lens quality. Maybe it (the bluish tint) affected the clarity. I would wish, instead, that I had paid more money for, say, Nikon binoculars.

              Q1: Please compare the porro prism and the roof prism. Will I be able to tell the difference looking throught the binoculars?

              A: No, the difference is in the positioning of the prisms inside Roof= 90degrees Porro is 45 degrees, the biggest differences between them is that a porro is much bulkier.
