Q1: Never bought binoculars for someone..what if the person wears glasses. Do you have to buy a special kind of binoculars?
A: Simply look for binoculars with an eye relief of 15mm or more and they will be perfect
Q2: are binoculars wiht night vision??
A: i am sorry but no these are a Zoom (variable magnification) Binocular. they are not night vision.
Q3: What would you say is the better binoculars. These or the nikon 9-22x50. Thanks.
A: That's a hard question to answer. The optics, workmanship, and warranty are all very comparable. I guess it comes down to wether or not you need a high level magnification like you get with the 9-27X50
Q4: Do you have any zoom binoculars that will accomidate a 74mm pupal seperation?
A: The Zhumell 9-27x50 at full extension will accomodate a 74mm pupillary distance.
Q5: In what country Zhumell is made and in what country Zhumell was originated?
A: The Zhumell's are of Chinese make and the company originated in the US.
Q6: What type of lenses in the 9-27x50 Zhumel ?
A: The lens is a multi-coated optical glass and teh binocular uses BAK-7 Prisms
Q7: Are there two ways zoom binoculars work? 1. the field of view stays the same, and the zoom magnifies the total size of the visable disc, which givens two view sizes, or 2. the f.o.v. narrows when you zoom in, keeping the same visible disc size. If only one f.o.v value is given, like 216ft @ 1000 yds, does this always mean the zoom is type 1 ? such as the Zhumel 9-27x50? Is this the way to tell what type of zoom is used?
A: It is an inevitability of any optic that the higher the magnification the smaller the field of view. As an example if you think of a hose when it is on mist settimng the hose sprays at a very wide angle but the more you condense the spray the thinner it gets. The field of view in a binocular works the same way.
Q8: will constant use of the lever to zoom damage the binocular
A: It shouldn't be a problem to costantly use the zoom as that is what it is designed for. However i do not know what kind of use would require you to constantly be using the zoom.
Q9: Does one need a tripod to opperate this binoc.?
I would be using it for Alaska. To spot game at a long distance.
After the Alaska trip I would only be using it to view migrating
raptors in the fall.
2. What is the warranty with this product?
3. Will I have to worry about this product fogging up if using them in the summer Alaska climate??
Thanks...
A: No you will not need a tripod but of course foruse at the higher levels of magnification it would be advantageous. This binocular has a 25 yr no fault warranty. this one is not waterproof or nitrogen filled so yes fogging would be an issue.
Q10: Is there an independant adjustment to focus for each eye. Then is there a common adjustment for both eyes?
Thanks
A: Yes, the Zhumell zoom binoculars have a Diopter adjustment that you will use to set the focus for your eyes. Then a center wheel to fine tune the focus for both eyes.
Q11: are they water proof or water resistant? Thank you
A: These are water resistant.
Q12: Are they fog proof (meaning can I see in the fog with them?)? Also, what is the difference between water resistent and water proof? Also, how deep can you put it into the water?
A: You can see with them in the fog only as far as you can see with your eyes. They will not allow you to see through the fog. water resistant means just that resistant to water (rain, splashes etc...) water proof means that they will not be affected even by being submerged. They can go in up to 5 feet pr so but of course it is not recomended as the water pressure will cause more damage.
Q13: What does 9-27X50 mean?
A: the magnification is 9 times the naked eye up through to 27 times the naked eye. the number after the X the 50 means that the front lenses are 50mm in diameter.
Q14: What is the weight and dimensions of the 9-27X50 zoom?
A: The dimensions are 7.7in. x6.75in. x2.5in and they weigh 1.95lbs.

A: The Twilight Factor is 21.2 at 9X magnification.
