Nikon is world-renowned for producing top-quality optics, and Nikon 7x50mm Action Extreme EX, waterproof, wide-angle binoculars enhance that reputation. The Action EXes are aimed at hunters who want traditional Porro-style binos with superior waterproof, fog-proof and shockproof attributes to withstand extreme conditions.


Each EX is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed for total waterproof and fog-proof performance in any environment. Binocular bodies are ergonomically shaped, tripod-adaptable, and rubber-coated for a non-slip grip, whether wet or dry.


Optically they're ready for action as well. Lens elements incorporate multi-layered anti-reflective coatings to deliver optimum brightness, high contrast, true color rendition and flare-free viewing in most lighting conditions. A unique click-stop eyecup design provides variable eye relief that is customizable to each user's eyes and eyeglasses. There's also a diopter control to correct for normal right/left eye vision imbalance.

I tried a couple other pairs of binoculars and the Nikon's were miles ahead of the others. My eyes don't get tired, focus is excellent, and these work well in night applications. Sorry, but much better than the marine-specific Zhumell model. Hayneedle is great to work with too!

      The sculpted frame is easy to hold for extended periods. Objects in the field of view remain sharp, even near the edge. Its bayonet style eye cups are useful. The motion of the focuser is sloppy. Unfortunatley, the product that I recieved had severe collimation issues, making it difficult to work out a single image. You get what you pay for with binouculars, and even with its alignment problems, this is a good product for its price range.

          I use these to watch my sheep flock during lambing time in fields and for lookout for predators eg. coyotes and blackhaded vultures etc. Lightweight,sturdy, excellent clarity and wide angle of view over fields for the price, water and fog resistant above average for general usage... makes a great gift.Excellent quality, versatilty, and overall performance for the price.

          My new Nikons are great. Clarity and brightness are a huge improvement over my previous binoculars. I bought them for use at sea and early indications are they will be put to constant good use. They are not too heavy and are well armoured against the bumps they will doubtless receive during their life on a boat. Service was fast - everything great! Thanks very much.
