Nikon's world-renowned for producing top-quality optics, and Nikon 7x35mm Action Extreme EX, waterproof, ultrawide-angle binoculars enhance that reputation. The Action EXes are aimed at hunters who want traditional Porro-style binos with superior waterproof, fog-proof and shockproof attributes to withstand extreme conditions.
Each EX is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed for total waterproof and fog-proof performance in any environment. Binocular bodies are ergonomically shaped, tripod adaptable and are rubber coated for a non-slip grip, whether wet or dry.


Optically they're ready for action as well. Lens elements incorporate multi-layered anti-reflective coatings to deliver optimum brightness, high contrast, true color rendition and flare-free viewing in most lighting conditions. A unique click-stop eyecup design provides variable eye relief that is customizable to each user's eyes and eyeglasses. There's also a diopter control to correct for normal right/left eye vision imbalance.

Ordering and receiving went like clock-work, user friendly ordering software.
I like the comfort of the neck strap.
The easy eye relief adjustment.
The low-light abilities are just what I wanted(getting older 66).
They are comfortable to hold and work the adjustment features.
Getting the lins covers on and off takes some effort, but like anything I think that will work better with time.

      I bought my 7x35 Action EX binoculars seven or eight years ago. I use these binocs for birding, general glassing, and for wide-view stargazing. There are extremely well-made. The ocular triple-tree is stable - doesn't have a lot of play like some cheaper porro-prism binocs. This means once the right eye correction is set - it stays set. The inner 3/4 of the field of view is in focus - focus is "soft" for the outer 1/4. Not bad for low-medium priced binocs. Because I have arthritis in both thumbs, these are the largest-sized binocs I would consider using. For larger aperture, I'll go with roof-prism binocs.

      A: Nikon 7x35 Action Extreme ATB Waterproof Ultra Wide View binoculars weigh approximately 28 ounces. Most observers prefer an 8x40 binocular to a 7x35 as an all-around viewing instrument. You'll get better low-light performance from them. However, for watching an action game like football, you want a very large field of view to make it easy to keep up with the plays on the field. The 7x35s offer a 489-foot field of view, and that's pretty hard to argue with.
