Extreme performance for extreme conditions!
Nikon is world-renowned for producing top-quality optics, and Nikon 10x50mm Action Extreme EX, waterproof, wide-angle binoculars enhance that reputation. The Action EXes are aimed at hunters who want traditional Porro-style binos with superior waterproof, fog-proof and shockproof attributes to withstand extreme conditions.
Each EX is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed for total waterproof and fog-proof performance in any environment. Binocular bodies are ergonomically shaped, tripod adaptable and are rubber coated for a non-slip grip, whether wet or dry.
Optically they're ready for action as well. Lens elements incorporate multi-layered anti-reflective coatings to deliver optimum brightness, high contrast, true color rendition and flare-free viewing in most lighting conditions. A unique click-stop eyecup design provides variable eye relief that is customizable to each user's eyes and eyeglasses. There's also a diopter control to correct for normal right/left eye vision imbalance.
No wonder Action Extreme 10x50mm EX binoculars are ideal for the hunter. Action Extreme EX binos help separate branches from antlers. And give you that rare shot at a trophy!

I can't describe the endless researching- I thought my eyes were going to bleed and fall out of my head & the headaches.... I had become taken w/stargazing @ night and watching wildlife by day. What to do? I originally purchased a computerized telescope. OMG! Talk about hassle and chore! I knew it wasn't for me. 20 mins just to set up and waiting for the electronic tripod--ZZZZZ! I looked on line and 50 people had 50 different kinds, sizes and mags for binoculars to be used for sky & then 50 more for wildlife! Each time I went back to my intense study of which binoculars to buy left me more confused than when I started! I knew only a few things & still you'd think this was the one unobtainable solution to a riddle that was universally beyond human comprehension! (1) I needed something durable (2) Light-- I DID NOT WANT to have to use a tripod-period (3) For far away/wildlife viewing during the day or night ** AND ** (4) For astronomical use/stargazing at night and early morning (enough magnification but not too much effort. I wanted simplicity, freedom of movement, multiple usages and without giving up the quality and capabilities needed for an honestly clear, bright, colorful, crisp, vivid and brilliant viewing of any and all imaging types and lights, etc. Oh! and of course... this all needed to be within an affordable and decent price range!) I could have splurged on the Fooooooooo-got-- no brand name comparisons (sorry-oopsy-LOL) 10x70's........... BUT I'M SO GLAD I DIDN'T!!! Honestly, that would have put me right back into being driven to conform to its heaviness (tripod probably needed) w/the unwanted set up and loss of freedom of fast movement and would have cost a small fortune more than I spent!)
Fewwwwwww!!! I honestly could not be more pleased------ TO THE EXTREME!! FINALLY, my search is over and I'm so thrilled with my NIKON 10X50 ACTION EXTREMES!!!

After reading all the positive comments- decided to buy this since I always used high end Nikon cameras- Hayneedle was grt! Got the unit- had to return it because the eye relief piece came off!!! Very poor design for eye relief- replaced it - no problem- hunting season arrives- spotted an elk at bout 350 yards- 20 degree weather- pulled out the Nikons n the focus adjustment knob would not focus!!! Took it bac to the cabin- after warming up- worked perfectly- My Opinion- dont buy this piece of junk if you want dependable gear. Pay more n get a higher quality- Veryyyy disappointed in Nikon!!

Comments about Nikon 10x50mm Action Extreme ATB Binoculars:
I bought these binoculars for an upcoming huntin' trip. I took them over to show my huntin' buddy before I even opened the box.
We took them out of the box, and both tested them out. Well Built, Good Clear Optics, Very Good Magnification. My buddy fell in love with these binoculars. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG. Buy Them !

Q1: What does the BaK 4 and 7 mean?
A: Bak4 and Bak7 are different grades of glass. Bak4 is better in low light conditions because of the special polishing method. The Bak7 is just a standard glass with no ability to bring in additional light in low light conditions.
Q2: Is the case included?
A: It will come with everything you see in the photograph. Objective Lens Covers, Eye Piece Covers, Neck Strap, and Carry Case.
Q3: What does this weigh? How close do they focus?
A: They weigh 30oz. and have a close distance focus of 23 feet.
Q4: Is it appropriate for a teenager?
A: The Nikon 10x50 Action Extreme ATB Binoculars would be ideal for a teenager. They are very durable and offer high quality optics for any purpose.
