These are very good binoculars, and very potent. The only con is exactly this: due to its great power of magnification, it is a little hard to hold them steady, since any slight movement of your hands makes the image dance around a little too much.
I recommend these binoculars for use when you have a stable platform to support your elbows, or else, if you can attach them to a tripod.
Holding them with your free hands tend to get your arms tired after a while, that´s another good reason to find yourself some elbow support!
But to compensate the hassle, the view through these binoculars is so great that I can stare for countless minutes at the moon and the level of detail is amazing! I could never get the same kind of proximity sensation when using a telescope!
Quality is excellent too!

I purchased the Pentax 20X60 because I wanted a powerful quality binocular at a reasonable price. I use it for astronomy & long distance bird watching. For stargazing & lunar observation I mount it on a tripod to take full advantage of the optics. I also use a tripod for watching birds but a monopod will work nicely also. This binocular is big but not too big when compared to other 20X models on the market.
There are three things that are a problem for me: Too much eye relief which causes black out; I sent mine in to Pentax to check the collimation because I couldn't get 100% sharp focusing; a Pentax TP-3 tripod adapter must be purchased seperately & it is poorly designed. (It is too thin, & the washer is too small lacking in sufficient rubber surface to adequately dampen vibrations & keep the binoculars tightly in place.)
In comparing my Pentax 20X60 PCF WP II binocular to my Garrett Optical Gemini 20X80LW the Gemini Binocular has the distinct advantage. The 20X80LW appears to have truer 20X magnification. When looking through the Pentax 20X60 for example, the full moon appears to be smaller in magnification. The Gemini is clearer & brighter (80mm) & sharper. There is absolutely no eye relief problem with my Garrett Optical Binocular, so there is no bothersome blackout. Each & every Garrett Optical Binocular goes through a 10 point QC (Quality Control) check list & collimation problems will never be an issue as they were with my Pentax 20X60. Lastly, I purchased a tripod adapter from Garrett Optical & it is very sturdy & I have had 'none' of the problems with it that I experienced with the Pentax TP-3.

Comments about Pentax 20x60mm PCF WP II Binoculars:
I love the build quality of these binoculars, Pentax does it right, great coatings and an overall solid feel. These are however a specialty binocular, great for astronomy or as a replacement for a spotting scope, you will need a tripod or monopod, these have too much magnifcation to hand hold.
