      These are a better binocular and better priced than the model from Orion. 9 x 63 gives MUCH BETTER views for Astronomy than a typical 7 x 50 size...yet are not too large to hold by hand (A tripod or astronomy mount is best though for longer sessions). Lenses are superb, quality is excellent, I highly recommend them for astronomy or for use at sea, in low light conditions...or for SUPERB views of the Grand Canyon, etc.

        My first pair came in out of collamation, so they were returned with no hassle. Second pair arrived and they are GREAT! Good construction, twist up eyepieces are very nice, case, and protective covers well made.

        View is stunning with 63mm front lens. Its like someone ratcheted up the dimmer switch on the stars. View is bright and clear. They are a tad heavy, but this can be compensated by using a chair, laying on your back, or mounting to your tripod. I look forward to using these for many years to come. I may even buy the 15 x 70 Celestrons now.

        This product is great! Very well constructed and gives a great view of many things in the night sky. Even though it is only 9x, you may still want to consider a tripod if you don't have a steady hand. But, that's not a problem with the product, it's with me! Overall, one of the best 9x63's you can get. If you are an amateur and just starting out, this is the way to go!

          These are a great value and I'm highly satisfied. I'd recommend a tripod, but I think that's par for the course, as any binoculars without image stabilization will wobble all over.
