Big eyes for the skies!
Celestron's SkyMaster 25x100, large-aperture astronomy binoculars offer phenomenal performance for astronomical viewing. They are also a great choice for terrestrial use, especially over long distances.
Although marketed as the "SkyMaster" name, these astronomy binoculars are very often purchased for long-distance terrestrial viewing. They're perfect for use on a balcony or patio from a home with a view. Point any SkyMaster Binocular up to the stars and your eyes will pop with amazing star fields. Jupiter and its moons, the rings of Saturn, and globular star clusters are all very visible from any of the SkyMaster Series Binoculars. If you are fortunate enough to live in a dark-sky environment, such objects as galaxies and nebulae are also within reach of a Celestron SkyMaster Binocular.
All models feature high quality BaK-4 prisms and have multi-coatings for enhanced contrast. The SkyMaster Series Binoculars are available in SkyMaster 12x60, SkyMaster 15x70, SkyMaster 20x80 and the SkyMaster 25x100.
All of the Celestron SkyMaster binoculars are water-resistant and each is tripod adaptable. The SkyMaster 20x80 and SkyMaster 25x100 are waterproof and have an integrated tripold adapter rod for simple connection to any standard photographic tripod.

I got these big binocs for astronomical viewing and could not believe the light gathering ability that they displayed. I had been told that light gathering is more important than magnification when it comes to celestial binoc usage and can say that I am now a believer. Although I have purchased and enjoyed other Celestron products, in the past, lets just say that these 25 X 100s made my zoom binocs seem like junk. I am very impressed with the clarity and overall viewing quality and especially enjoy using them for spectacular lunar observation, especially during the day. Yes...the moon does look fabulous during daylight hours with its craters and geographical detail being even more noticable than at night.
If you think, however, that your old camera tripod is going to cut it think again. Unless you have a truly robust head to your tripod it will not work with truly big binocs such as these. Also, your tripod, absolutely, must be tall enough to accomodate your fully upright postion when using these for astronomy. If you don't have a tall enough tripod it will be very difficult for you to focus your binocs as well as very uncomfortable.
Happy Viewing!!!

These binoculars suffer from severe chromatic aberration. This is a defect of optical lenses where different wavelengths (producing different colors) are diffracted, or bent, at different angles and produce colored halos around images. I experienced green and blue halos when observing. These types of defects are commonly seen were all the optics that are not fully multi-coated. I cannot recommend these binoculars for any use with this type of defect.[...]

Comments about Celestron SkyMaster 25x100mm Individual Focus Astronomy Binoculars:
Haven't had a chance to use them for night sky viewing yet and hope they work OK. Very hard to open and close to fit the eyes. Maybe that can be loosened. Lens caps don't snap on and come off too easily. Also do not especially like that it has separate focus for each eye and not one central knob for focusing. Instruction sheet is generic and doesn't have specifics for these binoculars.

Comments about Celestron SkyMaster 25x100mm Individual Focus Astronomy Binoculars:
Only fault I can see is the clamp knob really does not hold it steady very well. Would be better designed if the bar had a flat edge to get more contact with the screw.
