I use this pair of binocs for astronomy. @25 power the coathanger asterism fits perfectly. looking @ the dumbell nebula and andromeda was remarkable for binos. the dumbell was clear with really good contrast even compared with a scope of greater size. focusing was easy and stability for overhead I attached to my equatorial mount. Jupiter the moons were clear and even zoomed 125 power I could see the orange bands. did not have to collimate as one review had. I feel like these are definately a great investment especially for the money.[...] I will buy another pair for my wife in the future. do not hesitate. you will enjoy them. the only problem is they are just acromats so jupiter had a purple halo around it. I can deal with that if it is the only problem I encounter. very happy with this product.

Comments about Celestron SkyMaster 25-125x80mm Zoom Binoculars:

Use mainly for astronomy. Clearly see Saturn's rings, moon craters show well on terminator, moon's limb show annoying yellow fringe, star clusters show well although not pin point. Focus is similar at 25 or 125 power, but changing power changes focus (contrarily to booklet). Focus is difficult because of shaking, even with a solid tripod ( the tee on the binocular attaching to the tripod is not sturdy enough ). Tripod is a must, even at 25 power. I found the tee moved about 2% and found there are 3 set screws under a collar that screws on the main rod holding the tee. Tightening these reduced most of the wobble. All in all, usable for astronomy and OK for the price, but this is not a sharp apo set.

Comments about Celestron SkyMaster 25-125x80mm Zoom Binoculars:

I bought this solely for viewing stars. A little heavy, although I was kinda expecting it. These binoculars feel well built and durable. I do not recommend these binoculars. I have binoculars; Nikon 10x50 Lookout that work just as well and without the weight, so I can stay on target alot longer.
