Comments about Barska 25x100mm Cosmos Waterproof Binoculars with Premium Hard Case:
[...].My biggest original fear was related to so often found in binoculars misalignment of both sides causing double vision or making my eyes tired. Not any more: this one has perfectly aligned both optical axles. The best alignment of all binoculars I already have. It is beyond my ability to detect any misalignment in this one.My reasons for deciding on buying this 25x100 were that my originally best 70 mm binocular is not good enough for low-light conditions, and it has annoyingly small field of view. This new one gives me way brighter picture with visibly higher contrast, better resolution, and much larger field of view, all at the same zoom level.I used to favor variable zoom binoculars, but over time I noticed that I almost always use them at the lowest zoom level, because it gives me the best quality view. Higher zoom level always translates to darker picture and smaller field of view, often without any improvement of resolution to see any more details. This binocular has excellent optics and it is mechanically strong. It is made with high precision and with paying attention to details. Very good job! And hard carrying case comes handy for safe transportation. One thing to keep in mind: you need really solid tripod for this really giant binocular.

Comments about Barska 25x100mm Cosmos Waterproof Binoculars with Premium Hard Case:
These came very nicely packaged in a quality case that's included.
Previously I had the Celestrons 20 x 80 and they were pretty good but I wanted something better so I returned them for these. I was apprehensive at first because I wasn't thrilled about the IF system as opposed to the traditional center focusing. It wasn't bad at all - In fact, once you get the hang of it, it was easier and the clearity you can achieve with IF is incredible.
The best way to explain the overall performance of these binocs is to compare them to the ones I returned.. As for daytime people watching out my balcony the clearity and brightness is way better but the real benchmark for me was nighttime viewing - I thought the moon looked great with the 20x80s... OMG what a differce in the detail and size of the image now - night and day. Of course you have to expect the size and bulk of these babies to be an issue before you buy them - YOU NEED A GOOD QUALITY TRI-POD TO USE THESE CORRECTLY. The next step is a telescope but I had no idea that I was able to see what I can see with binocs; clear craters on the moon, all the nebulae I was able to see now by Orion's Belt. Every night is a new exciting time. Can't wait for summer and to get out east on the Island where there is no light polution what-so-ever..
The only problem with these if I had to recognize something as a con would be the size, weight and bulk but I can really do that because I knew that before I bought them - that's the trade off to have this kind of quality.

Comments about Barska 25x100mm Cosmos Waterproof Binoculars with Premium Hard Case:
[...] They were very well put together and looked like they cost twice what I paid for them.Bigger than life they are - You definitely need a Tripod, no if's, and's or but's, these are huge.Looking through them tickled my eyes as the sharp images during the day just poured through them. Night and day difference between these and the 20x80's for Astronomical use - The full multi-coated lens made a big difference too. The night time viewing was spectacular.

The inside sufaces are painted with gloss black paint, never, never, never.Your never really sure where the focus is.The field from each tube never comes together to become one.Gave me a headache after struggling to see through them.Must be hit or miss to get a pair that work, very disapointed, wasted my money in trying times.

Comments about Barska 25x100mm Cosmos Waterproof Binoculars with Premium Hard Case:
This instrument exceeded my expectations for the money I paid for them! I exchanged an almost DOA set of 25x100 Skymasters for these Barska's, because of my experience with Barska. So far, Barska hasn't let me down. With this instrument I was able to see stars invisible with 10x50's, and see stars, and even Jupiter and it's moons through light-patchy, high overcast. Using the 25x100's during the day is a real treat! Colors are bright with high contrast. I watched a bird a block and a half away tending it's nest! I'm satisfied with my 25x100 Barska Cosmos, and would recommend them! If you are going to acquire these, you will need a tripod! This instrument weighs 8.1 pounds, and I'd recommend a tripod with a capacity of at least 11 pounds to be sure, the more--the better! The better the tripod--the more enjoyable your experience will be!
