Comments about Vortex Binocular Rainguard Lens Shield:

If you own the Nikon Monarch binoculars, this is the protective cover you want!

The extremely loose Nikon eye lens covers are a complete embarassment for such a high quality pair of binoculars. Just throw them in the trash where they belong, and order these perfect fitting, well designed Vortex Binocular Rainguards.
These should be the standard issue for all Nikon Monarch ATB binoculars.
                  Jefro.

                    • Birding

Comments about Vortex Binocular Rainguard Lens Shield:

This rain guard / eyepiece protector fits well on my Zeiss 8x32 Victory T* FL (circa 2006) that I use for birding. It's made of a slightly flexible rubbery material, and stays on and keeps the rain off the eyepieces nicely. Note, however, that the side slots for the binoculars neck strap do NOT line up with the strap attachment points on this binoculars model. (I prefer not to attach it to the neck strap anyway, so it doesn't matter to me.) I use it only on rainy days; it comes off quickly enough, but it's still a bother to have to remove it every time you see a bird.

Comments about Vortex Binocular Rainguard Lens Shield:

I bought some 10X50s [...] that didn't come with rain guards. They are older and have the roll-down eyecups. I wear glasses so I roll them down all the time. That makes it hard to find rain guards that work. These rain guards didn't fit perfectly, so I cut a couple of slits in them and now they work great. If you're looking for generic rain guards for older 10X50s, with a little modification, these are the ones for you. Cheap. Not ugly. Easily modifyableand work nicely after modification.DK
